Bajío
Spanish for “the shallows”, Bajio strives to improve the quality of life for the world’s saltwater flats, the eco-systems they support, and the communities that depend on them. Bajio glasses are made with sustainability at the forefront, using plant-based materials in their frames, and high-quality glass lenses built to filter out the bad and enhance the good.
The sun produces more blue light than any other source, and Bajio invests heavily in lens technology focusing on lenses that manage blue light, filtering out the amount of blue light that reaches the eyes. After all, Less strain and fatigue means fresh eyes and more fun on the water!
In addition to unparalleled lenses, Bajio strives to minimize its impact on the planet and the oceans. Frames are constructed from plant-based materials like castor beans and coconut husks, and lenses are made from recyclable glass. The sunglass cases are made from unused materials from the manufacturing of other glasses cases, and all products ship in 100% recycled packaging.
